The Greek word “Exo” means “from outside”. I conceived of this work as a meteorite-like entity— a strange, unexpected, and beautiful phenomenon that has just landed. It serves as a positive disruption to one’s experience and a reminder of the vastness of what lies beyond our world.

“Exo #6251” is an adaptation of #6250 for a residential building. The work is placed in a pedestrian and high traffic area and gives the building a sense of identity and presence. The sculpture gradually cycles through a full spectrum of color. Originally commissioned by the Katonah Museum of Art, NY, “Exo #6250” was adapted to this specific location and renamed “Exo 3251”.
